Zinc-Aluminum alloy wire (8515: 85% Zn + 15% Al) is a premium thermal spray wire designed for long-term corrosion protection of steel structures. The addition of 15% aluminum to the zinc matrix significantly enhances corrosion resistance compared to pure zinc wire — providing 2-3× longer service life in marine and industrial environments. The Zn-Al coating acts as both a barrier layer and a sacrificial anode, self-healing scratches and damaged areas.
Widely used for thermal spray (arc spray / flame spray) metallizing of bridges, offshore platforms, wind towers, ship hulls, pipelines, storage tanks, and structural steel exposed to aggressive environments. Available in precision-layer-wound spools for smooth, snag-free feeding in automated spray systems.
